Dang, if that's your list why isn't Billy Joe Hobert or Michael Jordan on it?

Mark Buehrle

Ray Durham

Lance Johnson

Chris Sale/Bo Jackson

HM: Keith Foulke, Joey Cora, Tadahito Iguchi

Frank

1. Mark Buehrle

2. Frank Thomas

3. A.J. Pierzynski

4. Joe Crede

5. Chris Sale

I was born in ‘89, so I didn’t really have the pleasure of getting to grow up with with guys like Hoyt, Alvarez, McDowell, Ozzie, etc. but the 5 listed were by far the most emotionally invested players I ever got the pleasure to see in-person.

1. Mark Buerhle

2. Frank Thomas

3. Paul Konerko

4. Harold Baines

5. Billy Pierce (not old enough to have seen him pitch but he was one of the nicest gentlemen I ever met)

5a. Black Jack McDowell

1) Frank

2) Fisk

3) Bucky Dent

4) Mark Buehrle

5) Black Jack

6) Wilbur Wood

7) Chester Lemon/Lance Johnson/Hoyt/Ozzie/barely remember Allen/The Bull/Baines/Ventura/and of course Harry/ Mary Frances Veeck and friend

Edited by BamaDoc

1. Buehrle

2. PK

3. JD

4. Big Frank

Too many to list for #5: Bobby Jenks, Thome, Sweaty Freddy, Ray Durham, Chris Sale, Jose Quintana....the list goes on...

1. Frank Thomas
2. Mark Buehrle
3. Jack McDowell
4. Chris Sale

I'm not sure I've got a clear 5th, but it sure seems like I enjoy watching dominant pitching performances.

Went by Lamarr so the cops and drug dealers were too confused to catch him.  ?

Can't believe I forgot Buehrle.  Slot him at #3 and move everyone else down.  My wild card from today is Yolmer.

1.Buehrle

2. A.J

3. Crede

4. Chet Lemon

5. Lance Johnson

Chet Lemon, Ozzie, Konerko, Buehrle, Big Hurt, Baines. Sure I'm forgetting many.

The serious answer:

1 -- Louie Aparacio

2 -- Joel Horlen

3 -- Dick Allen

4 -- Mark Buehrle

5 -- (Tie) Konerko / Fisk / Thomas / Thome

And the eclectic list of personal favorites through the decades (roughly chronological, but in no particular order of preference):

Ken Berry; Bruce Howard; Gary Peters; Jerry Nyman; Buddy Bradford; Cy Acosta (!); Terry Forster; Rich Gossage; Pat Kelly; Ken Henderson; Jim Kaat; Oscar Gamble; Ken Kravec; Nyls Nyman; Britt Burns; AJ; Sweaty Freddy; Quintana; Sale. (And coming soon to a ballpark near you -- Eloy; Cease; Dunning; Madrigal)

OMG ... How could I have forgotten Jim Thome and the White Sox portion of his amazing career?

Shingo for one year was a total joy to watch

1) Adam “sparky” Eaton

2) Chris Singleton

3) Buehrle

4) Paulie K

5) Frank Thomas

1. Hurt

2. Sale

3. Buehrle

4. Walnuts

5. Pierzynski.

AJ has a permanent place on this list for goating Barrett into that fight.

God this is tough...

1) A.J. - Total asshole (nothing wrong with this.  i'm an asshole).  But he was our asshole.  Loved his fire and became a fan for life when he punked that loser Michael Barrett .  He represents the attitude I want to see in a White Sox player.  Get under the skin of the other team, make them get emotional and screw up, play your ass off, and fire up the fan base.

2) Frank.  Guy was my childhood idol and I wanted to be him when I grew up.  Such a good person and just an absolute terror at the plate.  Legitimately must have been terrifying for pitchers to see him walk up to the plate.

3) Buehrle - Best White Sox pitcher in my lifetime.  I honestly feel that he could still be a successful pitcher today, and could have pitched till he was 45

4) Paulie - I mean he's basically Frank lite.  Another great guy, who was so consistent for the Sox as a leader and middle of the order presence.  I think he was extremely underrated nationally during his time with the Sox

5) Jim Thome - How can you not like a guy who is country strong, eats a ton of hot dogs, and blasts 500ft homers?

What a tough list.

The obvious 3 for me are

1) PK14

2) Big Frank

3) Mark Buehrle

Then it gets tough. There are tons of players that I've enjoyed over the years, these two I just loved to watch.

4) Joe Crede

5) Aaron Rowand
