You should proud that we missed out on a player that could desperately help our franchise...bravo!

Did you really think he was going to go anywhere besides NY? Come on.

This is going to be a long fucking day.  I just need something, anything to scratch that itch.  I’m literally fiending for some Machado rumors.

I think the instant success of players like Acuna, Buehler, Judge, Andujar, Soto, Albies, and others have clouded people's idea of a patience with young players. It's possible Giolito and Moncada neve

I've honestly felt all along he is going to NY. But I want him on the Sox and am slightly optimistic about our chances. Hopefully there is 0 truth to this.

doesn't matter what we think, but the Sox were clearly thinking they had a chance

I mean you never know, but i'm pretty sure he'll be fine. He handled LA.

LA sports is nothing like NYC and Boston.

Well, that's the most deflating.

a lot better chance than Harper, IMO

Definitely.

I don't care where any of these players sign. I'm sick of Major League Baseball and its obscene greed.

So one report from one guy who may or may not be legitimate and everyone here is just ready to accept that it's over? I haven't heard Manny Machado announce where he was going yet.

Like I was saying yesterday...

You must be thrilled with all of the cyberpoints you just accumulated.  How do you plan on celebrating this amazing victory on the internet?

Why is this guys tweet being taken as complete fact?

Because of the blue checkmark and the fact hes not a nobody.

This is as SoxTalk as it gets. Can anyone tell me what news this Dan Clark has broken before that makes his words 100% credible?

I think most are taking it about as much as when a favorable tweet comes out about the Sox. Examples:

Positive Tweet about the Sox from a nobody: random people have broken news in the past!

Negative Tweet: why would anyone listen to this guy?

Because he's an actual baseball reporter that has connections to Machado from when he was with Baltimore.

Because it's the result everyone expected. Again, I've not heard Manny Machado announce where he's going yet.

Wrong actually. He's been tied into Manny's saga for years now.

I'm still waiting on one of the national guys to confirm before i'm totally out, but the writing is on the wall here.

Yeah Dan Clark is legit. The Machado dream is as good as done.

Machado hasn't been tied to that city/organization for months at this point. How is that relevant now?

I get it, Machado wanted to play for the Yankees. But until the Sox sign someone of significance there will always be the stigma that players just don't want to come here. The culture or stigma around this team needs to change and it needs to change in a hurry.

They could have a relationship off the field due to his time there? For all we know, he could have a better relationship with Dan Clark than he does with Welington Castillo.

He's on the Orioles beat for either the Baltimore Sun or MASN.

He was the source of the Sox/Machado rumors last year. This guy is legit.

He's the equivalent of Scot Gregor or Chuck Garfein.
