Yoan 0-2, show us something.

This hit is SUPER encouraging. His splits after 0-2 last year were almost incredible. Like 6-90 type bad or something

  • People complaining about the team aren't necessarily "miserable". It doesn't take much to make a post chastising a player for messing up. Doesn't mean watching the game pains them. Fans still want to

Might be time to end the Jones experiment. His body failed him his entire career,  and I think there has just been too much damage for him to be what he once was.

Now that we're past the BS we can get onto the main point. This isn't normal. It doesn't mean that the guy is hurt, but you should start saying "Hey wait a minute, why do our guys have this issue, this is something we need to work on".

If it's May/June and Lopez is still pumping 93, I'll be right there with you. For now, I'm gonna wait and assume his velo will pick up as it warms up and as he gets more reps

Nice 2 strike hitting

Exactly what I was about to post

Since about game 3 of spring training, Yoan has looked like an absolute star.

Boom

I know that we're losers this year, but if we're ever a team that isn't, we do actually need to be able to win first week/first month games when its cold.

Abreu at bats are still appointment TV

Wow so there’s life ??

Dont stop now boys.

Looked it up. Last year was 7 for 130 after falling behind 0-2. So...yeah awesome recovery there laying off a slider then ripping a single.

Back into the ball game.  Jose yard!!!

Nice!

Leury has a .143 average, but it seems like every time he at least tries to have a good at-bat.  I think he's going to get over this slump and turn out to have another good season.  Wish I could say that about our other hitters though.

Putting the 3 in ron’s Screen name!

Gotta give Yoan a lot of credit for the 2 strike hit

Fun inning

Nice by Eloy. Stayed back nicely

Eloy with another single on a slider

Alright folks, we're 1 swing away from optimism mode

Benetti, tough critic. Calling out Eloy for going 0-fer yesterday on an off day...

Eloy going to adjust about as quickly as a hitter can with the slider attack. You can see it - trying to stay back and already seems to understand that's the plan of attack.

Palka does look skinnier from far away but up close looks the same.

If you expect that Abreu and Alonso and Castillo will all be the players they were during their best seasons, the offense looks decent.

I would love to be proven wrong...at least a South Side Hitmen type of offense would be fun to watch...hit some bombs boys!!!
