Not a surprise to me. This is carbon copy of his Charlotte struggles. You hope he can work through it at the major league level I suppose.

I'm about to hand out bannings to those who stupidly overreact.  Its for your own good...maybe you can learn to be something other than a miserable piss.

I’m taking off early today, heading to the airport, and getting absolutely smashed at a bar while watching Cease dominate these Tigers!  Can’t fucking wait!!

Chill out dude

yeah he looks awful

No wonder I stay out of game threads. R-E-L-A-X.

Hes missing so badly, absolutely no control.. not sure why they would call him up when this is what he was like in charlotte too

I mean you truly expect better from a seasoned MLB vet that has no history of walking people

Oh so we do have a pitching coach

Thank god.

You can't coach the stuff...you can coach command and the Sox have done it all the time.  Give him experience.

inning over!

Wow. Its his first game. Butterflies im sure are up there. He doesn't look awful. He looks like it's his first game. See how his 2nd inning goes.

he has legitimate stuff and we already knew control was an issue, there's literally nothing to get worked up about. The point of calling him up now is to work through these issues at the major league level.

Cooper should have been out there much earlier.

Reminds me so much of rodons first appearance.

Besides the badness of our other options, part of the logic of calling him up may well be to get him with our MLB coaching staff to work through these things.

Not the storybook beginning to his MLB career he probably wanted but you can clearly see why he gets so much hype.

No.

Christ lets send him down turn him into a reliever and then have him get TJS. Sound good?

I'm in the GT everyday and even I'm shocked at how negative a couple of these posts are. We saw this coming a mile away, he'll be fine

Yup. I'm fine with him being called up.

Anyone surprised how his curveball control was way better than his fastball?  That is definitely a positive.

Cool, dude. I have had some good times drinking too much at airports after arriving far too early for flights (I have a flight license and airports fascinate me). Have fun, enjoy the game, and safe flight!

I feel ya, something fun about drinking alone but with a bunch of strangers at an airport bar.

Also, I blame @fathom for jinxing Cease in the 1st!
