Those weren’t terrible calls, and he’d called the same pitch already in the at bat.

First ball was awful but the third one was close enough. It’s more of the same he did in the minors. Have to protect with 2 strikes.

We got lucky with Castellanos in the 9th, but had we walked him, Miggy probably would have just done that and gave the Tigers the lead anyhow.

Put it this way. With two outs and no one on in a tie game, he should be looking to end it with a homer and not taking 5 pitches.
