If he was 6-4" he'd be a top 15 prospect. All he does is demolish baseballs. This is baseball not basketball there's no real inherent advantage in being tall. "longer levers" sure but also longer swings. Vaughn generates plenty of power.

March 5, 20206 yr Ed Farmer out for the rest of the spring. Andy Masur will be on the call, per a tweet I can't remember.

March 5, 20206 yr would anybody have any interest in an "over under" thread on ZIPS/FANS/STEAMER projections up until opening day? I'll make one and start with someone kinda hard and yet fun like Giolito if folks want.

Yeah, he’s both those things but if he were taller he’d probably be labeled a better athlete and would give off the perception to some people that he could maybe play another position. He’d might be ranked higher. Short, stocky white guys aren’t really looked at as being good, physical athletes. Edited March 5, 20206 yr by Joshua Strong
March 5, 20206 yr If he was two inches taller and more athletic he would be Mike Trout...... If Mike Trout went to college he would be the best 1-1 since A Rod....who I think went 1-1 if not, since Griff JR He is not two inches taller or more athletic so I will take Paul Konerko 2.0 Just think from 2001-2035 we could have only 3 different firstbasemen
