August 3, 20205 yr When I said positive news, I meant it could be or could have been worse. At least the spread seems to have been contained to the point where there’s not than 3-5 total players involved, compared to 15+. The fact that transmission is 19x more likely indoors rather than outside augurs well for getting through this. It’s the clubhouses, restaurants, hotels, buses and airplanes that are the biggest issues.

August 3, 20205 yr So two pitchers who already travelled back to St. Louis from Milwaukee by private car...one more play they’re still uncertain about.

If it's true some of the positive cases stemmed from them going to the casino despite all of the warnings, the rest of players in the league have got to be pissed. Shutting down the season because a few guys were too selfish to follow the rules impacts everyone else too. Lot of players going to lose their livelihood this year because of a handful of guys thinking they're above the game. I'd be livid if I was one of the other players.

White Sox players have been going out - just like all other players around the league. There's no reason to stand on a soap box; hopefully this is a wake up call to these guys because the vast majority were not following procedures.

They won't cancel anything; they're applauding Philly having no positives from the Marlins debacle and already celebrating no new tests for the Marlins. Cardinals are going to play like 14 7 inning games out of 60.
August 3, 20205 yr This is strike 2. If there’s a strike 3, it has to be it for the season. I think we are seeing sports can only exist in a bubble.

It would be interesting to see those who test positive and get infected. I think one player was cleared two days after testing positive.
August 3, 20205 yr Yeah and the Marlins outbreak is linked to a group of players attending a nightclub in Atlanta. Like seriously, WTF? If I were other players I'd be incredibly pissed. Edited August 3, 20205 yr by Jack Parkman
