  • That nickname seems like an effort to sanitize "Luis" of its Hispanic character and even make it sound a bit Southern. Might as well call Jose Abreu - JoBrew . Sweet Home Alabama... I'm goin

Honestly just lmao at this “pandemic”.  Vast majority of positives are asymptomatic and the overall death rate is barely more than the normal flu.  But yeah lets just stop life for the next 6 years ti

That was a fastball. His velo on everything is down today. He's not ready.

He literally hit 95 his first start. You can argue he's hurt now in this game, but he was fine beforehand.

I wonder if Coop was in his ear again about dialing it back.

That piped in crowd noise sounds like it’s coming from a sewer drain.  It’s not ok.

When Gio looks like he's throwing 100mph compared to you that's a problem

Why is Rodon pitching from the stretch with no one on?

that's what he's taken on...been doing it since he came back.

this is just batting practice, fuck, the Sox are straight fucked we have no starting pitching.

Going to have to follow the trend of the 2000 team, just bludgeon teams to death.   The entire starting rotation pretty much collapsed the last two months that year.

Well damn Eloy.

Nice hustle Eloy!

Didn't Rodon basically have the capsule surgery?  That's a death sentence.

No. He had severe shoulder bursitis and TJS.

He was throwing 96 two weeks ago.

They actually didn't need to go into his shoulder as bursitis can be treated with medicine, however they didn't know what it was until they went in there.

MAN, Pods has a better arm than Jimenez.    Juan Pierre, debatable.

lol I thought Eloy was definitely going to botch that.

some sliders/breaking pitches would be nice...

That's his new delivery. Keuchel, Kopech (before the covid), etc. are doing it too. Less wasted movement/moving parts I believe was said.

Rodon averaged 92.8 MPH on his fastball last start

Dane Dunning, come on down.

Personally, I am Steiver curious.  Guys coming back from TJS in the short turnaround have not fared well thus far. I’d hate to get Dunning hurt too.

Some need to relax sheesh

the play is right in front of him as a MLB player he should get to 2nd there.

If he's halfway and it's caught, it's a double play

If he's halfway and it's not caught, he's out at 2nd

HIs shoulder isn't the same as it was that's clear.

Maybe Rodon is throwing slower so he can have better control. If he was hurt they probably would’ve noticed by now.

The best thing they can say "Rodon throwing strikes."  No mention that they're 40% cookies.

All I can think of is that his arm isn't bouncing back after a few starts, or it's dead arm.

I know he was throwing 95-96 in his last two starts. It's weird.

LOL right, it's 2-1 and people talking like Rodon gave up 25 runs

Ha ha, not close to Pierre. My grandma can throw better than Pierre and she’s dead.

Probably not a great idea to throw 85.6 MPH fastballs, regardless of location so I doubt it.

He shouldnt be throwing an 88MPH fastball. That's batting practice.
