If you've seen plesacs overlay, without seeing the spin it might as well be impossible to figure out if he's throwing a fastball or curve which is why you saw a swing like mazara in the dirt.

oh gimme a break he's thrown some 55 ft breaking balls if you can't pick that up you're just too eager to swing.

I can see why the slider is so tough. It was the 93 mph fastball he was late on to start that AB that doomed him

If the release point is the exact same, and you can't pick up the spin, that curveball was a fastball to him. That's the only way I can explain it. Usually arm angle or speed or etc is slightly different. Plesac has mastered the deception. Ill try and find the image.

those balls are traveling on the exact same plane from the exact same release point. If your brain identified fastball that's how you swing at a ball that bounces 3 feet in front of the plate. 

well yea that curveball was a beauty, the one Jose and Mazara swung at were garbage.
