no way.  he will float around the league for awhile.  he has a great toolbox.  a lot of coaches will "try to fix him"

He will do fine once he gets away from Cooper.  Once he gets to use his curveball and he builds up his velocity again.  Not a top of the rotation guy, but a back end serviceable starter.

Another opportunity to get some runs. It's not like the Sox haven't threatened all series.

Yoan walk!

2 on 1 out.  Can they score?

Guys, not everyone in the lineup is going to have a shot at MVP one day. It’s okay if Madrigal is just okay.

Berrios for some reason always makes things interesting against us

Pods by a lot. Everything Madrigal hits is a little dribbler.

"everything"

Need something from Grandal here

Podsednik. He hit 14 HR in a season with Milwaukee.

With out a juiced ball either.  Like someone else said I don't think it's even close.

Yasmani needs to do something here or I’m officially on the move Grandal down to like 7th in the order. Only problem with that is you have too many outs at the bottom of the lineup with EE Mazara and him down that way

Berrios is not Bruce Chen...let's get to him!!!

Who do you think has / had more power, Scottie pods or Madrigal

Are you kidding me?  It's Pods and it isn't even close.

You guys are never going to let me forget that, are you?  That was more overrating Delmon Young than anything else. I thought Young was better than he actually was.

I thought Young was a .250-260/25 HR guy with a .300-310 OBP when I said that.

Which means you also thought Eloy was that type of guy when you said that, which to put it nicely is just embarrassing

He's a bit too patient. He almost never swings in obvious fastball counts.

Man I’m starting to dislike Yaz

Ugh...never thought I’d hear that name again....

He needs to be outstanding, not okay.  He was a top end 1st round pick.  Not someone you picked up in the 7th round and are taking a flyer on.   He needs to hit line drives, get on base all of the time and play outstanding D to make up for a lack of power.

Come on Jose, make those walks hurt

He was in a slump and I was frustrated. I need to watch myself for that shit.

I stand by the Madrigal stuff though.

Yas works a walk.  Bases loaded! Let’s Go!

C’mon Pito crush a fastball here

Nice at bat. Pretty please jose come though here!

He doesn’t lift the bat off his shoulders until a strike is thrown to him and he passes up a lot of opportunities.

Wow, Abreu wasn’t hustling. Pathetic effort

Whoever made the Eckstein comp for Madrigal probably isn't that far off:

I'd be fine with that. A guy who can consistently close to .300 and get on a .350 clip with good defense has value.
