September 9, 20205 yr The Rodon and Lopez experiments have to end at some point. I know our bullpen is exhausted right now but how many more chances can they give to both of them? Edited September 9, 20205 yr by maloney.adam

It just seems like both of them have been with the organization for a while and have been given more than enough chances to succeed. Edited September 9, 20205 yr by maloney.adam

September 12, 20205 yr Rodon is going to go somewhere else, stay mostly healthy and put it all together, and we're all going to hate it.

Rodon is gonna get non-tendered this fall after not returning to action. Someone will grab him with the hopes that he'll finally be heathy and perform and will be lucky if he does.

Yeah and his cockiness and his wife don't help his situation. Not a guy you wanna root for when he clearly thinks he is better than his injury record shows. But who knows, maybe he gets healthy for a month run and helps Sox win an improbable world series. Edited September 12, 20205 yr by EloyJenkins

If anything, Rodon finally accepts he won’t be a starter and becomes a Pomeranz type weapon out of the bullpen. This idea of Rodon suddenly clicking as a starter is nothing more than Jack Parkman torture porn.

We got 8 years to get down and it will be expensive, but let's get down.

I'm expecting Rodon to be non-tendered this winter, and I expect him to seek an opportunity to start. I expect a rebuilding team to give him that opportunity. It shouldn't cost them that much. A team like Seattle or even the Angels would jump on his talent. The biggest issue Rodon had here(yes I'm talking about it in the past tense) is that he couldn't stay healthy for consecutive seasons after 2016. If he could have stacked a few healthy seasons in a row together, I think he could have improved enough to be at least a strong #2. We will never know. He's kinda the Sox version of Mark Prior without ever being as good immediately. I always liked Rodon as a prospect and was thrilled when he fell to the Sox. Shit happens. September 12, 20205 yr Very likely if Rodon was dominant as a reliever in the playoffs he could cash in more as a reliever especially if playoffs are expanded.
September 13, 20205 yr Everyone thinking he will be back for the playoffs remembers how his short term shoulder problem in spring training cost him half of the 2018 season and then still lingered into 2019 where it probably contributed to blowing out his elbow, right?
September 16, 20205 yr Do we have any idea how the taxi squad will work for the postseason? Can Rodon or Bummer be added to the active roster for the ALDS if they aren't ready by the end of the regular season?
