How is Nagy allowed to comeback next year?

Can barely get a first down in a playoff game

I know JJ can be polarizing, but this is a good speech.

  • I would still have Mitch on a short leash next week. You can’t just show up for 1 quarter a game and expect to win consistently.

What's the record for missed tackles in a game?

Miller and the wasted TE pick from D2 should cost Pace his job.

Yes sir! Pace and the coaching staff deserves to be removed. Tonight!

And for as much as certain bears Twitter personalities are raging on Mitch - yeah. Mitch sucks.

But the rams with a backup QB and Redskins with Taylor heinicke showed much better offensively.

Even bad QB teams can put together better offenses than Nagy can. And his distraction players he’s asked for have already been moved out of the rotation (Patterson).

Hes clueless offensively. Absolutely clueless.

Making playoffs really was such a bad result for this regime

I disagree. This embarrassing performance leaves no doubt that Pace/Nagy/Trubisky should be gone next year.

Bears down by 4 with plenty of time at the end of the 1st half 3 straight runs. NO up by 18, 7 minutes left in the game and still throwing it.

I love the run up the middle down by a few touchdowns with just over 8 left.  Are we playing to win or playing for the gambling spread.

Unfortunately neither and I took an alternative +17.5 line

My takeaway is definitely Nagy. They didn't allow Trubisky to be bad. They didn't allow him to do anything .

They were 0-9!!! In 3rd down conversions.

We will see if this statement holds up next week, but I think the Saints, when healthy, are solidly better than the Bucs.

That's not a touchdown.

Just the tip

Foles was an epic failure to this scheme.  In the end this team has a couple pieces but the organizational sum of parts from Finance guy at President on down are poorly constructed.  There is no team discipline.

Holy shit Ridley wasnt a healthy scratch.

The ultimate troll: Mitch Trubiskey won the NVP trophy.

Gotta be disheartening being handed that when everyone's gonna lose their jobs.

Is Trubisky the long term answer? Absolutely not, but this team is so poorly constructed that there is no way possible to both acquire a significantly better QB and surround him with enough talent to win over the next 2 years, so give Trubisky a 2 year deal and blow everything else up around him.

This offense is right up there amongst the worst in our franchise that I've ever seen, and that's saying something.

We aren’t winning shit in the next two years, so why not start the rebuilding process?  Let Mitch go and give some other reclamation project like Winston a shot while also throwing a pick at a QB.  Until we get a legit QB nothing else matters.

First of all, he doesn't cost picks to acquire and he won't cost a lot of money to sign. Secondly, if you're going to rebuild you're going to have a bad team for a couple years and his mobility and relatively low turnover rate is good to have on a rebuilding type team.

You want to watch this atrocity for 2 more years?

Mitch is what he is at this point, ever since the second half of Nagy’s first year, this team has been struggling to score with him at QB. It’s time to move on.

A good QB still isn't winning anything with this roster, and acquiring a good QB limits improving other areas. I want to get the other pieces in place first before addressing QB.

Right. I don’t care about QB for the next two years. Let Foles guide them to higher draft picks. Don’t worry about skilled positions. They need to build the O line and go from there.

Maybe the Bears could use this strategy the next time they draft a QB. Trade up.

So right around the time the NFL figured out Nagy's offense?

Foles is under contract for next year. Even if you don’t draft or sign a QB, there is no value of keeping Trubisky around. There is also little cap room left, they could restructure a bunch of guys, or even trade Hicks or Mack, but even then, they need to be spending money to identify guys they could develop and build around in the long term.
