I don’t really care if they lose this game. Does it suck? Yes but I see zero reason to overwork his arm in this damn near irrelevant game. Throw Flores or Detweiler in instead of working Evans another night. Gio has already shown he can work 7+, didn’t have his best stuff tonight. So be it, pull him and get some work for the backend of the BP

I get holding Nomar there but there’s also such a thing as being entirely too conservative. Especially when we only have 1 hit on the night.

There’s one, need to get Yolmer in 

Madrigal may be short, but his bat control and swing covers a lot more of the plate (and beyond) than many hitters. Loved that at bat there, hope they keep the line moving.

Now that the bullpen is in, the Sox are still very much in it tonight.

Great at-bat by Nick.  Spoiling a couple of real tough pitches, makes contact, and one in and one over.  Love the contact!
