Cool lineup! Grandal’s first game hitting in the 2 spot. All regulars except Yermin and Garcia who are in the 8/9 hole.

  • Can you imagine how often Ricky would have used Cordero if he could've brought him in and out of the game?

Obviously he was better last year.  Moncada forgot how to baseball and Robert was a rookie.  I'd much rather have a difference maker with some speed up front.

  • Robert had no issues hitting mistake breaking pitches. It was the high fastballs and sliders way out of the zone that he had issues with.

Lineup. Seems like we've been going either "good lineup, minor league pitcher" or "minor league lineup and established pitcher" in our outings

I really don't like the habit of Moncada over Eloy.

Same. I prefer Moncada 2, but if they want Grandal there and his OBP (I like Moncada there with his speed), I want Eloy 4, Moncada 5.

Ohtani is the starting pitcher for the Angels. They didn’t bring many regulars to Glendale.

Putting the time as PST? Reported

I have to imagine with the players we have now, that the only reason Grandal is at #2 today is to get him 3 at bats quicker and out of the game.  He should no longer be ahead of Moncada, Robert or even Eaton for the #2 spot.

Grandal sees a lot of pitches and gets on base a lot. He's exactly the kind of guy you want batting in front of Abreu and Eloy.

#2 should be one of your best hitters in your lineup.  I.e. Moncada or Robert

Grandal was better than both of them last year, and while one or both might be better than him this year, not by a large enough margin to justify moving that plate discipline and OBP out of the 2 hole. Bury Grandal down in the bottom third of the order and most of his walks get wasted. You shouldn't even both signing a guy with Grandal's plate discipline if you aren't going to bat him in front of your best run producers.

Lambert getting some ugly swings against him. 2 Ks in the first.

Lambert 123 inning. 2 strikeouts using some nasty breaking pitches.

Lambert lookin pretty sharp. Nice breaking ball

Is it just me or is TLRs mask gigantic lol

TA leads off with a gapper to the wall in right center.

Yoan looked like he’s never swung a bat before in that AB.

I wonder if the soreness Foster was dealing with is elbow/shoulder related. He doesn't look right at all right now. Command is non existent.

Foster picking up where he left off in his awful game 3 performance unfortunately

Foster's first spring appearance mercifully ends with a pitching change.

Cy Kubat called upon yet again

Hang 'em and bang 'em!

Robert solo shot!

Robert goes yard off Ohtani.
