Well, if Tony was going for 'use all of my bad bullpen arms not named Ruiz', he nailed it tonight, with Bummer on the way.

Still a lot more puts to get

You think he needs some type of breaking ball to keep hitters honest?

How the heck does TLR plan to cover 9 innings tonight?  There’s 2 outs in the 6th and Bummer is in.  No good way to have your starter go 3.1, but what is Kopech on the team for if not tonight?

Crede late in a close game...you could tie him but not beat him in a Sox uniform in those situations. So many clutch home runs late.

I did a study on crede when I got Into statistics in college. You could argue he's the most clutch player in the history of baseball. The difference between his regular performance and his clutch performance is by far the best In baseball in the past 40 years, blew Ortiz out of the water but Ortiz was obviously much better typically. His numbers with risp, risp 2 outs, bases loaded, and lips situations is remarkable.

Wow, La Russa using Bummer in the sixth

Foster must have ceded the gas can to Marshall.  He's been good today.

IMO the Sox bullpen gas can is like a hot potato that Marshall and Foster pass back and forth.  One of them always has it but you don't know which one until one of them is out there on the field.

I wanted Foster to open that game 3 last year.  Don't know if it would've worked with how he looked later in the game but we will never know.

I am not sure there is a rhyme or reason for anything TLR is doing.  He moved the leader in hitting to the 7th spot for no reason for instance.

If he can't get more command consistently with that change yeah, but I think that change still has room to improve and that peak change is filthy.

Sox give up so many hits up the middle against dead pull hitters.

Is that another guy who they should have been shifting?

I will point out Foster walked the 8 hitter and got the call on 3-2 against the 9 hitter, so gas can adjacent.

My favorite bullpen arm disappointing me this year.

That said, this bullpen management is head-scratching. Actually, the managing overall is pretty baffling.

Bummer can’t get first guy out

He’s been doing it for awhile now, gotta think he would’ve been caught now.

I know I heard that he added the velocity from tinkering with his mechanics.

Maybe it was through Pilates and Kale?

Unreal

Jesus

This bullpen is a disaster

Katz needs to fix Bummer already.

Just throw everything right down the middle.  It's fine.

The volatility of bullpen arms never ceases to amaze me.

This team is so annoying this year!

Bummer really has lost it this season. Its baffling how easy he is to hit this year
