Albert Pujols

Featured Replies

Pujols is not worth worrying about, as it is very improbable that the Sox would try to acquire him. La Russa is not that mentally challenged. Not knowing a new rule is one thing, trying to fix a hole in CF with a player who can only DH, is yet another. If he were to push for such a move, I would quickly join the chorus of those who want him replaced.

There is literally no place for Albert to play here.

  • Remember when Tony intentionally walked him this year?  Good times

Attn. mods, you know those heart things on the lower right (heart, fire, trophy...), can we get a puke one?

Why not Pujols? It's a White Sox tradition.

That is Mark Feinsand talking, not Sox management. One would have to believe that this is just some inconsequential person's speculation and completely unfounded. The Sox are anything but a "perfect landing spot".

Sorry bro, I’m not about this move in the slightest but with what I’ve seen this past few months from this organization, this is almost a book it scenario in my opinion.

He has been the worst person in baseball the past 5 years.

I mean...Andruw Jones could atleast play defense in his old age.

Big men who have feet problems tend to slide right off the cliff

Probably just Pujol's agent talking thru Fiensand. I guess it's a good litmus test for how much pull LaRussa has within the org. I truly hope that he has very little.

But a Hall of Fame baseball person... just like Tony!

Srsly tho, how can anyone who pays any remote attention to baseball say were are the "perfect landing spot?" As someone else said earlier, there is literally nowhere for him to play.

Such a historic franchise, we had Frank Thomas, Ken Griffey Jr, and now Albert Pujols!

Don't forget about Manny Ramirez!

I mean, he was old and still had an .827 OPS for us in his lone season.  I would kill for that kind of production from someone in our OF this year.

Remember when Tony thought it was 2008 and put Pujols on?  That was awesome.

No, the thing across from + Quote. (I know you know)

Imagine trying to solve our CF problem by casting aside one of the hottest hitters in baseball to sign a DH who hits like Billy Hamilton.
