he looked pretty bad for like all of 3 weeks as a freshly minted 23 year old rookie and since then he's slowly ramped it up.  pretty incredible.  kudos to the sox' scouting, they fucking nailed that pick.  He looks like a perennial 280/370/530 hitter with just solid all around instincts.  That's a 5 WAR player.

I feel like Mendick has really increased his bat speed since he first came up.  Looks a lot stronger too with his wrists.
