When Engel gets back, I think the Lamb get's sacrificed and not Leury.

But would be nice to find a utility replacement for Leury also.

Nothing against @South Side Hit Men, but shouldn’t someone else be starting this thread given we lost game 1?  Not sure if double-headers have special rules, but I wouldn’t temp the baseball gods afte

  • Yeah, typically, once the Sox lose, your GT starting duties are over, for some period of time.   That being said, seeing that lineup, I’m not sure anyone else would voluntarily start the GT,

Lineup construction is overrated until you bat someone with a career .280 OBP vs RHP in the 2nd spot. Put terrible hitters in prominent lineup positions and the game will find them.

GREAT at bat by Moncada.

Sox are gonna be a hot ticket in Chicago this summer.  Might have to come to a came, crowd seems jacked every night too.

Yoan Moncada has kind of quietly been an OBP machine this year.

This ump is one of the worst I've ever seen calling balls & strikes.

That's saying something these days.  I don't disagree.

Bust this open Yermín

A bright side is it should be easy to find upgrades on Leury during the season.

It shouldn't be,  Tony loves him for some reason though.

Ah dang, well we got another run on top of it at least.

Bad at bat by yermin

yea got him, oh well.

That Vaughn home run felt like 2 innings ago.

Wow, such a long half inning, I had forgotten the AV homerun was in the same inning.

Oh well.  Stay with it Kopech .

I think Mendick can cover Leury everywhere except CF. Once Engel is back, who do you prefer as the back-up CF behind him? I'd lean Leury over Hamilton but not if TLR is going to continue to play him vs RHP and bat him in a prominent lineup position.

Kopech and a fresh pen with a 3 run lead I’ll take it.

I think kopech is still fighting his delivery a little bit. Just a bit off. Watch his front shoulder.

In case you guys didn’t know, Nicky Lopez is from Naperville.

The Vaughn show has arrived gents. Just sit back and enjoy it. It's an 8+ year ride of Neverending greatness with the stick

Wow first pitch slider was PAINT right there to Whitt but no love.

Ill take the pop up though.

Seriously though I do no remember umps being this tough.

I hope every player thinks Tony loves them.
