5/14: Kansas City @ Chicago White Sox Game 2: 7:10 PM CDT

Featured Replies

Mercedes scuffling a bit...started the game with that ridiculous called strike 3.

Another K with bases loaded.

Now, 6 left on base.

Leading hitter in the AL and maybe majors entering the game.

Opposing pitchers trying to keep everything away/off the plate...

Nothing against @South Side Hit Men, but shouldn’t someone else be starting this thread given we lost game 1?  Not sure if double-headers have special rules, but I wouldn’t temp the baseball gods afte

  • Yeah, typically, once the Sox lose, your GT starting duties are over, for some period of time.   That being said, seeing that lineup, I’m not sure anyone else would voluntarily start the GT,

Lineup construction is overrated until you bat someone with a career .280 OBP vs RHP in the 2nd spot. Put terrible hitters in prominent lineup positions and the game will find them.

People forget how young Moncada is.

He is seriously going to be a problem. Could he be more aggressive?! Of course, but his eye at the plate has improved so much.

I am a big fan of YoYo. Not to mention he is SOLID at third......

unless it’s truck sticking his own teammates on popups

right now that doesn't like very certain.  looks closer to a 1 WAR backup.

Look closer

Uh oh...at least he’s starting the inning rather than coming into a mess.

I hate that Kopech doesn't get a shot at the W. Guess he should have just taped 'Giolito' on the back of his jersey.

He’s not THAT young anymore.  But yeah, he should be in his prime.

Or Keuchel/Lynn...65 pitches for Kopech.

Charlotte wins another game, Felipe Paulino pitched pretty well although not many K’s.  Rutherford going pretty good now.

Let’s not give up a bomb or walk to Santana, por favor!

Bummer warming up.  Aced him with the changeup.

Do we love these Camo caps for the weekend, or not?   I love the armed forces recognition just not sure about the look.

2.5-3.5 WAR if the production was shaped a bit differently no one would really mind. But his profile is so extreme that many people will spend time fixating on his flaws rather than the end result which is a very good player.

Also far from a finished product. He started 2021 as a qualified rookie. Let the guy play 300 games and let’s see how he’s done.

I’m the opposite

He’s literally 25 years old lmaooo

There are first round picks just coming up at that age.

Maybe you didn’t know he was only 25?!

He's still 25.  Just a little under 2 years older than Madrigal.  Still pretty young.

He'll be 26 in 2 weeks.

Codi looked great there.  If I remember correctly, he's had trouble when Larussa has brought him out for a 2nd inning.
