Who's the best player he didn't put in position to succeed today?

Vaughn wasn't available.    Mendick and Garcia are a wash.   So who? use TA at that moment?   Was he available, do we know if perhaps he isn't dealing with something?

The micro - dissecting of every loss just to try prove that LaRussa is an idiot at the job is quite tiresome and annoying.    HE'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE.

This site is literally called Sox Talk dot com. What do you expect people to do?

Plus you're kidding yourself if you don't think every decision TLR made wouldn't be under a microscope due to the bizarre hiring.

Nobody is blaming the loss on TLR. Those of us who have commented on the use of Garcia are actually just pointing out that it was the absolute wrong in game management decision by TLR. Its common sens

What’s so hard to understand. It’s TLR’s job to know Clase is vastly more effective against lefties. He put the team in the worst position possible to win by putting his worst hitter in hit from the left side while keeping one of his best hitters on the bench. Mendick and Anderson were vastly more likely to hit than Leury and Hamilton. It should have been a no brainer.

only explanation is TLR is ignorant of the relevant facts at hand

Every series it seems Ramirez helps take a game against us. Incredible we keep letting that happen, especially considering the lineup he's apart of this year.

This idiocy need to stop - its unbelieveable.

Ricky let him beat us last year more than once - one thing i can say is other teams do the same dumb shit with abreu.

It truly is amazing how fucking dumb we are with ramirez.

Great. So now you know to avoid game threads because managerial decisions are always discussed no matter who the skipper is, since you are apparently new to Soxtalk.

It's OK to criticize a manager as long as he's a "gang-banger".

However, managers who have no problem with opponents throwing at their hitters are above reproach.

Kneel before Zod and kiss the HOF ring. it's legit after all.

Guys are gassed, it's the dog days early.  Just rest up and try and win tmr.  That was a great 3/4 in the back to back doubleheaders. Who cares about the loss in a game they tossed out their 7th starter.

Yeah, who cares about a loss to the team in second place?

Just have to hope for the 3 1/2 vs. 1 1/2 game lead in two days.  Detroit is suddenly playing much better ball, too.

Wed is rock solid Lance Lynn vs. Eli Captain Morgan, in his second big league start, 20.25 ERA.  Odds favor the split.

Of course, CLE gets Baltimore for three while we play four against the Tigers.  Then Toronto at home while Indians are at STL, followed once again by DET at Chicago and Seattle at CLE.

The split is OK on the road obviously. Hopefully the injuries will lessen; already been horrible this season with guys missing time.

It was super dumb.  Threw him a cookie right down the middle on a 3-1 count with 1st base open and a man on third in a tied game.   You figure.
