Reasons for optimism today: Skubal is really bad against RH hitters (.363 wOBA, 6.50 FIP, 5.24 xFIP) The Sox are the best team in baseball against LHP (.361 wOBA, 134 wRC+) The T

Idiotic. This is what happens when you have a manger from the 90’s that has pickled his brain in alcohol

Getting to the point that Eaton’s days are numbered.

Hang on, Eaton is in the game and you had Mendick play center?

Yeah it really doesn't make a ton of sense.

Not with all our injuries

I won't disagree with that.

Nah, Eaton #1, Jerry #2

Isn't Mendick up first?

Unfortunately not. Eaton pinch hitting and striking out swinging on a ball that bounced in front of the plate.

I saw it....unfortunately

Have a great rest of your Saturday Sox fans! Hot af out there, stay hydrated.

16 strikeouts no home runs today. Hope the fans who attended this "modern baseball" game at least got some good food at the park.

One and done in Sox return

Bad loss, we let Haase single-handedly win this one. Cabrera HR, can be lived with, but the stale offense, combined with the Haase performance, results in an L.

Holland on the ropes and you fucking bunt?!?!  That's all I've got to say about that.

Larussa gave this game away by killing that rally in the 6th inning.

Oh well, got get em tomorrow. Hopefully Tony doesn’t have the chance to insert himself into tomorrow’s game.

He’s Hahn’s guy, total failure to upgrade RF.

Sox earned this one. Couple of guys were black holes today including our MVP

That sucked but this team didn't show up offensively. May not have showed up yesterday either had Turn not gotten hurt.

Take 3 of 4 tomorrow

What's the record in day games?

This one is on Tony.

We had the Tigers on the ropes in 6th but giving away outs on bunts.

Also, that was terrible execution by mendick. You don't bunt to 1st baseman in that situation

Eaton chasing

Tony is old school and always prefers lefty hitter against righty pitchers,no matter how bad the lefty hitter is like Eaton.  TLRis exasperating.

Oh well, can't win em all. Let's get out there tomorrow and take this series 3/4.

He was Tony‘s guy IIRC, something something grinder bullshit. It’s not like the other corner options have lit the world on fire either though. I don’t think Springer has played a game yet even if we include unrealistic options.

We sure could have used that extra out from bunting.  Moncada would have been at the plate now instead of the game being over with a loss.

TLR threw this game away, along with Jose.
