Send a message to the lineup that they need to get it together. Bat Cease 4th and Abreu 9th. Not kidding. Do it for one game to send a message.

    Sense?

  • You nailed it - the two of them together sound like 2 people just playing with house money and having a blast. Guys that really appreciate how lucky and blessed they are to do what they do and they ge

that sounded soo good off the bat

Leury my man we never doubted you.  Except Jack

Who would have thought that Leury would be the last regular to homer when we also had Billy Hamilton and Nick Madrigal?

Frank has gotten a lot better over the years.  And compared to Beckham - I like it - he has brought a lot of energy to the broadcast.  Plus - who doesn't dig some one dog references.  Speaking of one dog - did anyone know he put up a 7 WAR in his first season with the Mets.  Never would have known.

And they both got 2!

Leury now has 13 career HR vs NL and 14 vs AL despite playing his entire career in the AL. Maybe an NL team should trade for him.

Definitely.  When they first brought him on he was dry and quiet.  He has really found a comfort zone.

Luis Gonzales 1 out double!

haha that was a terrible looking swing. Get him the ball!

Welcome to the Majors, Luis!

He actually had a higher xBA on his shot (.600) than Leury (.540).

what a great first hit, congrats!

And for the record, I freaking love guys swinging against the shift like that.  Its a free freakiing hit, take it.

I remember that first year with the Mets was crazy.  Didn't he have like 20 triples or something crazy like that.  His triples were always right on the line, either side

He was a ton of fun to watch when he came over from STL.

I guess the book is out on Cease lol

Can somebody get Frank in the same room as TA and Jose? He knows what they're doing wrong.

Happy Birthday Tim!

If nothing else, the Sox  have done a good job seeing pitches in this one.
