Cease gives up the cheapest homer you will ever see and the Sox had a few misplays during a stretch where they looked as sharp as ever.   Let‘s have a look at soxtalk.

    Do not trade Vaughn.

Yoan stumbled a bit there. Probably cost us the double play.

Heuer probably needs to make a change in his mechanics, similar to the one Katz helped Lucas to make. Maybe if he shortened his delivery, it would become more repeatable. His command is not good.

Should of been turned

good god.

Can’t believe Kopech only went one inning

What happened to you Codi?!

Inning Over

little shaky, but Heuer gets it done

good, clean inning for Crochet in the 8th

Kopech has to get two-three innings today. he is just too dominant and needs dem innings

I think they are saving the innings for starting later in the season

Wasn’t pretty but got the job done

Heuer was at least striking people out before, now he's a contact pitcher with bad control.

Good job Codi

Good job by Heuer to pitch over the lead-off walk. Wasn't pretty but I'll take it.

How much of a ramp up will he need to throw 80-90 pitches with minimized risk in your opinion?? 3 games? 4 games?

Would it have been so hard to go with Cease for 6, Kopech for 2, and Liam to wrap it up and get us to the break without the heartburn?

I really miss Madrigal (not dogging on anyone, just missed the guy)

I’m greatly concreted with how many innings he’ll be able to go next year.  Seems like he’s moving more into a true one inning reliever role, although hopefully that’s just temporary.

Heuer's delivery reminds me of Nate Jones' mechanics. I've never liked that long arm motion. It's too hard to control the pitch, and it shows the ball to the hitter. No deception.

How hard can it be to go from 10 pitches an outing to 100? /sarc

I would guess that he is throwing more on the side in less stressful situations so he is building up to it. So the 3-4 games is a good bet.
