How did we managed to walk their .171 hitting 9th hitter twice? Just pathetic.

Hoping the Sox don't get swept again by the Astros. The Astros are the best team in the American League this year by a fairly wide margin.

When was the last time the Sox played a team over .500?

Maybe we start, by getting our first hit since the 2nd inning?

June 27, Seattle.

And hit the ball in the air

Len said the last play would have been close if Tim left the box.

Abreu hit the ball in the air vs a good RHP challenge

I don't want to sound like a negative nancy but they're not competitive with the cream of the AL right now.

We'll see if they are when the injured players return but idk.

Nauseating

I see the offense is still on break

Another stellar inning by the offense.

Great observation

Your face.

A quality inning here from Bummer would be a nice silver lining from this game.

It's a coin flip whether Eloy remains healthy upon his return for the remaining two months, especially if give into his vanity / ego and allow him to play LF.

Robert is the only one I am counting on to be healthy and productive in October among the three with a chance to play this October (Madrigal excluded). Eloy or Grandal will be a bonus.

all night when mculler throws a hittable pitch we take it or miss it...

no.

I think poor defensive positioning has really hurt Bummer this year. So many weakly hit GB's are getting through this year.

Fwiw, the playoffs are always a different beast. IIRC there are regularly teams that beat up on losing teams during the season and then make runs through several series in the postseason.

It’s beyond obvious Eloy is going to be at DH when he returns

Then why is he playing LF on his rehab assignment?

Awe geez

It'd be nice if we could actually prove we can beat the Astros, at some point.

Holy fu** how many passed balls in a game?

Screw it... just have Seby catch.
