Whelp... Kopech being a starter come playoff time is at risk if TLR keeps making stupid decisions like this. I just dont get thinking Lopez getting a game tomorrow over Michael could be made by a hall of fame baseball person.

Lengthy injury history or not, if you're coming off a season where your client was the best pitcher in baseball for a season (which is realistic if DeGrom misses multiple starts), you're in a strong position.

It's not a save situation, so he might. 

I actually haven't had many issues with how we have used Kopech this year. I've never really considered him as a playoff starting option, and they'd likely rather under-use him than over use him at this point. You can always "add" innings. Can't roll back to odometer on the arm.

 

On a side note, its fucking sexy to watch him pitch
