Vaughn missed his fastball right down the middle. Now all Jax needs to do is throw a slider and it's an easy out.

Consistently awful AB's from pretty much every Sox hitter all game. Remarkable they all look so uncomfortable against such an underwhelming pitcher.

This honestly feels like everyone looked at the guy's ERA and decided it wasn't worth preparing for him at all.

He's looked good today but everything in Jax's minor league track record indicates he's a mediocre pitcher.

Definitely mediocre. I'm saying the slider and change combo will make him a decent 4-5 starter. It's decent stuff.

Despite the goose egg on the board, Lynn is not dominant today so I don't let him pitch the 7th with less than a 3 run lead.
