July 29, 20214 yr I would think the Sox WOULD NOT take on extra salary in lieu of prospects. everything the sox have shown me for a better part of two decades is the opposite. Blackmon wouldn't even really be a need at this point. I'd almost prefer Engel ... which sounds crazy and maybe is. But unless the Rockies are just moving on completely I don't think they'll package them together.
