This is the only issue I have with it. 

But honestly, I don't hate the thought process by TLR. It's going to be awful out there today, and the Sox have already had enough hamstring issues.....with this divison lead...they can do things like this from time to time.

They always seem to give him the most outrageous defense. Remember when Vaughn played 3B cause Yoan got hurt during his start against Minnesota?

What's interesting is that Engel is playing a day game after a night game. Maybe the restrictions are off on him?

He for sure won't be back if we do this to him. He is pitching for a contract, probably his best one he will ever get and we give him the worst lineup and shitty defense

This lineup is obviously atrocious but Eloy, Abreu and Anderson are all dinged up and they’ve been playing on the sun for a week. They had to get weird. 

I say them Kansas City Royals got us right where they want us.

Also Cleveland just waved the white flag, I imagine we’re going to see quite a few goofy configs the rest of the year to see what guys can do in a pinch.

There is no way they will pay a Boras contract for him. Plus with his far and away crazy innings usage, they shouldn't pay it anyway.

Sunny, in the 90s with heat indices in the 100s, may as well put your most expendable lineup out there. Someone may croak. 

Also worth noting, this is why sending out Jake Burger was a bad idea with this many OFs on the roster.  

Funny that they gave up a bona fide pitching prospect to get AV's defensive replacement at 2b.
