Surprised Engel is in LF and our worst defensive outfielder out of the 3 (Goodwin) is in RF. I'm definitely tuning in to see Vaughn at 2B though.

Isn't that the game that Crede got hit by a pitch but the ump wouldn't give him a base because he didn't try hard enough to get out of the way?

Why isn’t Vaughn playing 3B and Leary 2B? Really hope Vaughn isn’t hurt covering a DP or SB attempt.

Would rather see Tony or Miguel Cairo play 2B, don’t care if either gets hurt out there.

Let’s just hope we don’t get too cute with guys like Vaughn (or Burger for that matter) and get them hurt playing out of position.

We can ill afford to lose Vaughn at this point, although Sheets has obviously made more of an impact than expected.

I get that some players are unavailable today, but why is Yoan DHing?

Players with positional flexibility increase their value to the team and at the same time, their potential trade value.

I wonder if we're going to see more of this going forward seeing as Cleveland is in sell mode.

Remember when the Sox weren't supposed to draft Vaughn because you don't draft 1B that high?

 

That said, someone needs to tell LaRussa the Sox traded for a 2B. Doing too much of this with Vaughn could come back to bite.

Maybe because he hit that ball off the top of his foot last night.  Keep his bat in the lineup but reduce the stress on his foot
