I don’t see the point in complaining about Goodwin. Whining about a backup for not playing like a starter is like whining about a fifth starter for not being an ace.  He’s a bench player who’s been su

  • Who gets the walk off today?  Goodwin or Leury?  Hey...I'm serious.

  • Brian silenced his many sorry ass detractors on this board today. The bat flip was for all of them. I friggin loved it !!

That’s a lucky break

Hung that one and got away with it.

Velocity down a bit also. Wonder if it’s an adrenaline thing

He kind of hung that last one. Hard to barrel that thing up though since it breaks so much.

I’m pretty shocked July was the best month for the Sox offensively.

OPS / Runs per game

  • April .749 / 5.08
  • May .753 / 4.83
  • June .710 / 4.84

I thought Goodwin was going to drop that

Until it’s secured in the glove you just never know.

what's an ernie clement

A wonderful son, brother, uncle, husband and father.

I'm getting mad LaMarr Hoyt vibes from Kimbrel in the throwback uni!

It helps that we played the Orioles and Twins a lot.

There we go!

Was the first half a fluke? Tons of injuries yes, but somehow the rag tag group of players were able to continue winning. Is this what we should have expected?

Players wear down and even wearing out over time.  The challenge for Sox Management is to provide enough rest to players and pitchers so that they have enough fuel in the tank to make it to the finish line...kind of like a race ca. where you make sure there is enough fuel and rubber on the tires for the final laps.

So Lambert starts today and there are substitutions in the line-up. I think TA could probably use a few days off.  He looks a bit worn down even if he would never admit it. Would be nice to win this game, but it is pretty much a toss up now.

Hey Kimbrel is pretty good

He Gone

Kimbrel just as advertised so far.

With Ramirez and Reyes due up, Hendiks has to get the 9th even if it isn't a save situation.

Kimbrel looking pretty good there.

Let's get the good new guy from the Cubbies a W.

Nice curve.

CK nice inning

Rosario, Ramirez, Reyes for CLE in the 9th. Let’s get a run here.

Edited by Blackout Friday

Anybody notice Ray disappeared right after Kimbrel pitched well?

Wittgren in.

Wittgren K'd Sheets and Moncada with the bases loaded on Friday.

92 right over the heart of the plate.
