Something tells me that Giolito doesn’t have it tonight

That’s an understatement.

Is Engel still on the back to back game pre-caution?  Or is La Russa playing matchups?   Seen enough of the Alejandro De AzGoodwin in CF adventure.

After a couple misplayed flyballs perhaps.

This offense is looking like the end of last year. Can't win a WS hitting like this. We have enough time to figure things out but looking bad against our division isn't a good sign.

Why is a strike call 100% on the catcher?

The evidence shows framing is a very consistent/stable skill

Not getting shutout tonight!

Let the comeback begin

Hopefully Giolito struggling a bit this season will at least make him signing an extension more likely to happen.

why would you want to do that?  You have no idea what you're getting from him going forward.

Eloy wasn't going to hurt himself running down the line and I'm fine with it

I'm actually glad Eloy didn't completely bust it down the line. Gotta keep him healthy.

If Giolito and Rodon are serious question marks, then imagine how every other team except the Dodgers is feeling about their playoff rotation

This is wrong. Toronto's staff has been amazing and so has Houston's. Boston's staff has been good and they will add Sale. The Yankees staff has gotten better. Those teams are certainly feeling pretty good.

Jose finally hits another HR. Wish he'd do that more often.

You can tell Eloy isn't sprinting to 1B cause of the prior injury. Do not mind that at all. Play smart.

Royals 3B have probably stolen 2 hits from Eloy so far.

It was assumed that Jimenez was going to help offset that...but so many hitters who are in the equivalent of spring training mode now (think when FA hitters used to sign in June or July) never get really back in synch until the following season.

I don't know how Toronto ever loses.  Very good starting pitching and amazing offensive talent.

And yet he's on pace for 120ish RBIs...

Is it bad that I'm looking forward to seeing Bobby Witt Jr?

Their offense scores in bunches. Eli Morgan made them look like a bunch of scrubs on Monday.

kc swinging at strikes.. our guys swinging at every pitch.

shit never works.. good teams dont do that.

And that's without Severino, who they were originally counting on in July... as for Toronto, still have bullpen problems but Springer has really been on a tear.

Much better than the ground ball to third mode that he has been on lately.

wrong team

Just tuning in now, was this all Lucas or outside factors contribute?

Memo to Sheets your 15 minutes have expired.

Gio's done. This is definitely his second worst start of the year. Patriots Day in Boston being the worst obviously.

Giolito is such a bummer.

Do you mean he is more of a Bummer than our other Bummer?
