Is Engel still on the back to back game pre-caution?  Or is La Russa playing matchups?   Seen enough of the Alejandro De AzGoodwin in CF adventure.

After a couple misplayed flyballs perhaps.

This offense is looking like the end of last year. Can't win a WS hitting like this. We have enough time to figure things out but looking bad against our division isn't a good sign.

Any more info here?

Right hand bone bruise

Sore wrist for Burger.

Good lord.

Lucas not paying attention cost us a run.

Wow nice play sheets.

Has nothing so far on these pitches

Our pitchers have to be the worst in the league at keeping runners close

Good slider there for once.

I wouldn't have hated just letting the ball drop, but I understand not wanting to do that in the 1st inning

Not to be mean, but I didn't think Hamilton has been healthy enough or on base enough to have stolen 3B six times this season.

It’s early. He’ll find a groove.

Aside from Lucas pumping 2 fastballs right down the middle, what is Collins calling back there? Why are you throwing back to back fastballs to Merrifield and Perez, especially Perez?

Never let it drop in the 1st.

Just score some runs against this bum

Gio has nothing on his pitches, but he does have the pre sticky stuff spin on his fastball. Cease and Lynn have also had their spin rates return to where they were before June 23rd.

I don't think the Sox would be stupid enough to have their entire rotation using the goop, but I'm sure other teams are wondering how they're getting their spin back

Well we haven't gotten caught yet, so whatever they're doing, it's working.

I despise Carlos Hernandez

Cease going to his hair was so obvious, that leads me to think he isn't using? you'd obviously get caught doing it, right?

but it's weird

This guy averages 6 walks per 9. I guess TA not popping out on the first pitch like Leury did last week against this guy is a good sign.

I don't know, Tex. I just ain't feelin' ya.

I say we got those Kansas City Royals right where we want 'em.

This way I'm happy with whatever happens. But I'm feeling a letdown tonight.

Damn TA cannot get to inside fastballs.

Was not expecting Hernandez to walk this much

Cesar had the right idea.

OK Jose, just NOT a GIDP here please.
