They said Goodwin came in as defensive replacement with no explanation.  It is hard to visualize Goodwin as a defensive replacement.

Maybe the 7.00 + ERA in AAA was good for Lopez. Maybe it showed him he was a reliever. You can still get paid doing that.

I think of it more as "Eloy preservation" than a defensive upgrade.

Bringing ReyLo up has proven to be a masterful move so far.  Much better than Ruiz, Foster, Marshall options.
