I've been supportive of the Sox frequently resting players this season, etc. But that was a moment where Eloy should have been pinch hitting. I'm not saying he should have started the game or even play tomorrow, but if they aren't putting him on the IL then he should be batting for Mendick in that situation.

I see we are going to pretend there is no bench today

Moncada, Leury who has been one of our hottest hitters, Sheets who can hit the long ball, and Eloy if he can physically go.

Burger should be up over Mendick and Romy.  Romy was a great story this year but it seems they rushed him.

It's insane to be managing these games like there isn't a difference to the White Sox world series odds whether they're the 2 or 3 seed.

Expecting Romy to be a real contributor this season always seemed like a huge stretch.

I said I'd be shocked if 6-9 got more than 1 hit today. They're proving me right so far as they only have 1 and there's a chance they don't come up to the plate again this game.

Right on.  TLR never pinch hits with his star players when they are “resting” on the bench. TLR does not generally go all out using all his weapons to win a game. It’s frustrating.

Oh boy here comes bad Bummer to make this game really out of reach.

Eloy isn't dealing with a soft tissue injury or anything, either. I'm not a doctor, but are you really going to aggravate or make a bone bruise worse by taking one ab?

I think that was more understandable last year when there was no HFA. Who's favored in a 2/3 series between the Sox and Astros will likely just come down to whichever team has home field.
