Kris Bryant was staring them in the face and he would have been a game changing addition for this club. It also wouldn't have taken NEARLY the package the Sox traded away for Kimbrel. Just brutal all

He proved the second-guessers right on several counts yesterday.

  • Kimbrel gets the "Win" for today, I hate that stat

Hopefully Whitlock is gassed after going 2 innings yesterday. He really is Boston's only good reliever.

That was one sorry performance..

Welcome to Soxtalk!

Walks are killing the Sox last two games.

Get Eloy out of the cleanup spot.

This might be the worst game of Eloy’s career

Eloy looks completely lost

Nah, that would be Robert’s fifth or so bad defensive play of the week

Kimbrel gave up a 105 MPH liner. Those usually go for hits.

Eloy is a total zero right now

This whole team has been a walking disappointment since the All-Star break.

We deserve....SO MUCH better than this.

Pathetic AB…

Boston tv announcers commented that they have never seen Kimbrel throw so many breaking balls.  They kept waiting for fast balls.

Grandal ain't getting shit to hit.

Eloy is abysmal right now, might as well just come up to the plate with an 0-2 count.

When will this organization realize they have bad luck with NL arms.   You can look at all of the pieces of paper but there is something called history.

Hat trick for Eloy.  3 Ks tonight.

To be fair, and yes Kimbrel sucked balls yet again, but that run is on Rob Mackowiak out there in CF, creating his own bad routes.

106 exit velocity sometimes isn't  as easy to catch as it looks.  Kimbrel has to be better, just that  simple.

Have a game Eloy

Just as bad as the Quintana trade was for the Cubs.  Shame was that we did not need another closer and gave two young good major leaguers for him, and what we needed was an outfielder instead.

I was calling for Graveman  and surprisingly Seattle made him available while trying to make the playoffs at the same time.

It's cause his fastball is god awful. It's 94-95 right now.

I don't want him throwing fastballs either. Right now he's just a garbage pitcher. 1 good pitch that doesn't go for strikes and he has 0 command.

These swings the last two innings are comical

Our savior Leury is here, have no fear.

We have no shot against Whitlock.

Why didn't they make a roster move to add another reliever...
