Robert should bat 2nd instead of Yoan vs LHP

vs LHP, it should go TA/Robert/Jose/Yaz/Eloy/Yoan

Well the bright side to Robert batting sixth will be the 6-run homer he’s gonna hit in the first inning.

LOL

I know, I'm just accustomed to glancing at the game thread in the morning to remind me when they're playing, not a big thing obviously!

Yeah I definitely meant to put it in the thread. My bad.

Lineup looks so much better with TA in it

Hoping Robert doesn't slide back to down to 6th

Tepera cut his finger on a door latch last night and is on the IL. Jace Fry is up.

That really sucks.

I don't recall seeing this anywhere, but James Fegan slipped in the Sox are currently using a six man rotation.

I wonder if that is for the rest of the season, or just to get through the Cleveland series, and then setting up the playoff rotation with the final short week (5 games).

Maybe Lance can try to lose some weight  in the meantime to take some weight off that knee.

It's great to have a gamethread again.  Those off days are like a day without sunshine.

Ain't no sunshine today, beyond watching Norm's old clips.

One of the GOATs

Looks like our closest to full strength lineup of the season with all the big guns in place, and no Goodwin, Mendick and Sevy on sight.  And with Giolito on the mound, we should have a good chance of winning.  Don’t let Ohtani beat us.

Yea Tapera "cut it on a door latch" and Brian Griese totally tripped over his dog and Chris Sale totally didn't jump out of a moving pickup truck in spring training one year.

Agreed, we want him to hit in first inning and hit as many times as possible in the game.  Why does TLR always have to have at least one crappy move in every game?

With Ohtani not pitching Thursday (per Chuck), this series lines up well for the lineup to get on a roll. The Sox will see nothing but mediocre pitchers over the next 3 days.

Well that was an awful pitch

So was that one to Walsh, luckily he missed it.

Surprised to here of Lucas’ strong Road over Home form this season.

Overcame the Boston outing, and has given up far fewer HRs on the road.

Losing another year of Trout in his prime is just an absolute shame for the game. Hopefully he isn't going down the Ken Griffey Jr track in his career.

Google Asks: When Ohtani pitches does he DH??

And if there's one man you can't make a mistake like that to, it's Phil Gosselin.

They play without the DH in those games, so yes.

If we lose to a guy name Packy then we deserved to lose to a guy named Packy

Yoan the OBP machine

I'll be honest, I'm still here in awe of the name 'Packy Naughton'

Abreu's helmet must be a nightmare to pick up, for the bat boys. Goodness, that is nasty.
