Engel has been injured all year.

He can still come back and help the team out though.

  • This team is so well rested they've slipped into a coma.

  • If Tony and the Sox are checking out until the playoffs.  Maybe the fans should as well and not buy tickets.

  • Hey Tony, we are pretty much already there. Let's strive for Home field

4th time is the charm (or 5th? How many setbacks did he have before coming back the first time?)

Yet it doesn’t seem to be working as nothing coming out about Rodon seems encouraging

Nor is it discouraging.

Jose trolling Soxtalk by hitting a sac fly when down 7.

Eloy is just so far off the plate. Stand closer and challenge them to beat you inside.

Timmy and Eloy never adjusted in their at-bats -- completely susceptible to sliders away because they're flying open. Tim should know better, as he's ALWAYS been a better hitter when he goes to right-center. Eloy's locked in when he's driving the ball between the alleys, too.

Robert is the only one of the 3 who saw what was happening and shortened up, despite pulling the ball most of the year. He went to right on the slider.

He has really grown this year.

Going to be very important how TLR manages this last two and a half weeks of the season in as far as who sits and who plays. Remember the Sox don't start the playoffs until 4 days after the season ends. If you sit guys the last few regular season games thats a lot of days off.

Would have never guessed Robert would look to have a better hit tool than Eloy.  He’s really impressive

Apparently his last homer was on August 29 against the Cubs.

Just got home….thought I would have missed a game…what?…a joke…Sox lose so easily…as said, can they turn it on for the playoffs?..,hah….

The team looks disinterested to me. Maybe they'll flip a switch and turn it on soon. Then again, maybe not.

It is amazing that we fired Ricky because of how the team finished last year, and the belief that he couldn't get us over the top, they bring Tony in from the grave because of his history and Hall of Fame self, yet this team has all of the same weaknesses, and the same stumble down the stretch.

One guy has had as much playoff success as anyone and one had zero.

They may wimper out of he playoffs in three but I wouldn't think it is because the manager is unaware of how to prepare for the playoffs.

It is maddening that two LHH were on the bench today who should have been given last evening off seeing as how Cobb seemed to struggle v LHH

Are we going to be the new Twins, make the playoffs consistently, but bow out after the first round?

Yet, the results are what they are.

Feel sorry for Lopez.

He found his niche in the bullpen and TLR showing once again he can"t leave well enough alone,  puts him back into a position of historical failure.

Looks like CWS is going to try to backing into the post-season. Others have tried that with some devastating consequences.

If CWS does make it to the post season they will be excused early because ownership / management couldn't or wouldn't fortify this team with vetted difference makers.

The time was now.

They failed miserably.

In case you missed it, we had 3 starting pitchers out at once.  We still have one starting pitcher out.  SOMEONE has to start these games.  Kopech, Crochet, and Stiever aren't options.  So who are you advocating for as the 5th starter right now?  Jimmy Lambert?

Then again, this is the guy that wagged his finger at us to tell us that Cleveland was going to pass the Sox in September, so I guess I shouldn't be suprised by this content.

Except for 2005, we bowed out in the first round in 1983, 1993, 2000, 2008 and 2020.

Also 1919 and 1959.

Listening on the radio, did that look intentional?

They threw him out for this?  What garbage.

Give me a break...Mike Wright sucks...it's not his fault.

I also love carrot cake.

Not really playoffs, at least we won the American League pennant those years.
