Interesting article ^ We're really reaching with the term advanced analytics and the distance of the fence.

These decisions aren't made by one person without input from others. Yes, Tony has shown a real willingness to listen to others thoughts and ideas throughout his career.

The point is as far back as the early 80s, Tony was willing to let "nerds" help him make baseball decisions. He isn't some hard-ass, old school TWTW guy.

October 15, 20214 yr Gotta love how so many people here know with absolute certainty the inner workings of the White Sox organization.

October 15, 20214 yr This year, both regular season and post, he made more bad decisions than good. He isnt up to speed. We will still be a top regular season team in spite of him as long as Gio, Lynn, and Cease are good. Hell DK can be good again? Moncada can be better. Robert and Grandal can be healthy.

October 15, 20214 yr This is nothing to lose sleep over as it was inevitable he was coming back. Just need Hahn to amass enough talent to overcome La Russa’s poor decision-making. Hopefully he does better this offseason than at the trade deadline.

I made this point the other day, but I can’t imagine how bad the defensive stats for the team would have been if the pitchers didn’t strikeout so many hitters.

Hahn absolutely shit the bed during this trade deadline. Jerry needs to open the checkbook and Hahn needs to have one hell of an offseason.

I haven't seen anything on this year but I thought previous years babip has been fairly normal.

I've explained why, given the volume of balls in play and the amount of plays that are effected by the shift (there has been a very small decrease in BABIP), but there's no point in presenting it to you since you're not really one who is willing to listen and understand the math behind it.

Typing it out now, it makes even less sense to think about! The Tim Anderson... suddenly a Yes man.

October 15, 20214 yr Cardinals fire Shildt, even after the absurd finish they had to the season. Meanwhile, in Chicago, we continue to settle for mediocrity. Which is why the Cardinals are a great organization, and the White Sox are a joke. Edited October 15, 20214 yr by Paulie4Pres
