The goal should be eliminated the draft for everyone, not expand it. The whole crappy system begins with a draft. Draft limits bonuses not salaries. It limits the large investment in unproven players.

But I'm still not seeing any real deal breakers in this proposal. Maybe its just my desire for this shit to end and to have baseball back, but I still think this is a win for the players - for the most part.
March 9, 20224 yr These negotiations are just like the regular season. We've had all the April through July plodding. Now we're close to clinching a few spots. I just wish Joe West was calling the negotiations. What a circus that would be.

If "competitive" balance is what everyone is looking for and "bettering the game", then an international draft is a no-brainer. There's a lot of dirty behind the scenes crap still going on today. A draft will help fix that. Edited March 9, 20224 yr by HOFHurt35

No one knows but there sure is a lot of pressure on the players to accept this deal before the owners newest arbitrary deadline expires. It's also curious why the owners are suddenly so motivated.

I’m definitely for ties after 12, but if the man on 2nd rule continues, play the 10th and 11th regular, and then start it in the 12th.
