  • There are some forum addicted know-it-all posters  that  seemingly relish in oneupmanship.  It is too bad that they dominate the forum at times and try to grind down and embarass posters for sport.

  • Yes, Leury is a good player to have on the roster. Nice to have, trust the process, etc. I believe that the White Sox intend to get a better second baseman still. Here's the problem, as I see it:

Nick Madrigal hasn't even been able to show that he can play 2B, let alone all around the field.

I agree....I just love that commercial.

I am surprised we haven't seen the cost yet.

so...buy madrigal stonks?

Good signing. Leury is a good man to have around.  Of course, the team needs something more dramatic.

Leury is the only guy who can play all over the field and look bad except SS. Cannot believe we were able to sign him. There could have been a bidding war like Machado.

Only if his future wife buys you a lambo.

Horrible, borderline horrific signing.   He is just barely a serviceable bench guy let alone a a starter (which this makes him).   Just horrible that they sign Leury to be the starter at 2B

might mean they're going with the kids at 2B and RF.

This makes me nervous that he's being brought in as a starter.

Males me nervous that he was brought back in as a hedge against failure to acquire other players. Like, are they going to allow failure?

I cannot imagine Romy doing much worse.

Leury Garcia may end up being one of the longest tenured White Sox ever and that alone is a hysterical thought to me.

One can say the timing of it doesn’t matter, but they don’t appear to be prioritizing more important things. This is the kind of stuff big time clubs do later

I listened to them today, total damage control for the franchise already.

If you think he’s barely a serviceable bench guy, your standards might be a little too high for bench players.

Also, where are you seeing that he’s the starter at 2B?

Do they need a right fielder and a second baseman?

Freddie Freeman is a free agent right now, shouldn't they be putting more of their attention there?

Cmon man! It doesn’t stop them from adding a right fielder or a second baseman.

gotta tell ya, liked the jesse rogers interview, but listening to Chuck pontificate at signing Rizzo makes me not run to listen to how chuck is processing this when there isn't a guest on.

You are not familiar with a lot of rosters then, because there are a lot worse players than Leury Garcia pulling down paychecks in MLB.  With 750 roster slots out there, there is a ton of mediocrity and worse getting MLB jobs.

lol, this is really nice of Arcia, but this seems so annoying. Is it like a checkbox on the contract? Do the braves, right before you sign, ask "would you like to donate 1% of your contract to our charity?" and stare at you the whole time?
