Conforto having an injury might be what causes him to actually fall into Jerry's price range.

  • Huge news...Kimbrel spotted near the Dodgers Spring Training complex.

  • Yes. Sox would forfeit like the 65th pick, the bonus pool amount associated and $500K in international space. They should be willing to do it though.  This offseason hasn't been a good one for

Nah, he will just take a one-year deal

Maybe it's been addressed but is there a reason Kopech hasn't thrown yet?

On paper, I think we know where the best fit for that would be ?

but it's better to have a 60M bullpen instead, who am I kidding

He was behind due to having covid a few weeks ago, but he's scheduled to pitch 2 innings tomorrow

Sox won’t give him a one year deal

Who would, other than the Mets or Texas?

That'd be brutal if it's true, but you're probably right

I want to say he’s scheduled to start tomorrow or sometime this week.

Basically any team (contender especially) with room in their budget would be foolish not to jump on that. Extra flexibility in the draft isn't worth passing on Conforto falling into your lap.

Texas def isn’t giving him a one year deal.

I thought they might because they'd only have to give up a 4th round pick.

$10M or less now.  My personal opinion is don't go over $10 for 1 year with team option for year 2

Conforto would have to pay the Sox for that to happen

Mets are already banged up and there’s already reasons he makes sense: Marte is hurt, Nimmo and Canha’s health history, shouldn’t count on Cano.  There’s 3

Lillian will be distraught.

I'm just musing a bit, over so many Sox fans finally waking up to the fact that recent Sox teams have really been hurt by a lack of LH power. How management has failed to address this obvious short coming remains a mystery. I'm still hopeful that the front office will fix this lineup imbalance, before the current championship window closes. However, my hope is fading fast.

It'd feel very Dodgers to sign him. Put Mookie in CF, Pollack to DH,  and Taylor moves back into a super utility role.

And trade Bellinger for Kimbrel

And a 10-15% cut from each year of his long term extension signed upon leaving the Sox at end of 2022.

Who is gonna give up the pick for one year though?

Repeating that isn't going to make it happen.

They would go be us Pollock instead, and he would be injured for 65% of the season.

The White Sox don't seem to care all that much about picks or they would have offered Rodon a QO...and the impact would likely be post-2024/25 regardless.

Boras will never agree to this no matter what.

It would have to be a player option for $22-26 million in 2023 for that to make any sense to the Boras camp.

Then his client and him wont get paid.  No one is gonna pay more than $10-15M now for very damaged goods.
