  • There was nothing in his numbers last year to suggest he was a good acquisition

  • Buehrle would be in the 6th by now.

You mean it's not possible to replace a 5 war SP without adding an actual SP to the roster?? good thing there's plenty of upper minros pitching depth on the way ?

Spring training I know but if you take out Leury and insert Vaughn and I’m okay with a line up like this

Garcia is going to get 100+ starts this year

They didn't lock him up for 3 years for nothing.?

Did anyone from the Sox even say he would be bench piece? I know posters on here were concerned he would play regularly. At that point, there was hope they would add a good 2B though.

Oh I'm totally being facetious.  I don't remember if it was actually said or a suggestion/sentiment from a writer or a poster.

Leury will get more ABs then Vaughn this season, no doubt.

1st time getting to sit down and watch some "live" White Sox baseball.  I'll take it......

I don't see that happening. Unless some sort of injury to Vaughn, I would be very surprised if this happens.

As a guy who defends management on here, I would be very unhappy if Leury starts 100 games. He is extremely important as a fill-in-anywhere utility backup, but for the Sox to be good, he needs to be a back up.

Now if this or that player(s) on the infield is/are injured and he's plays at ton because of that type of situation, that's fine; that's why he on the roster and valuable. But to just start him everyday because he's deemed the better player or option, that is not good.

Leury easily going to crack 100 games this season…that massive hole in RF will make sure of it

Velasquez starting strong...not

Also the first game I get to sit down and watch. Ready to take a nap doing so.

Ok, lets see what Vince Velasquez has to offer.....woops that was quick

First pitch homer to lead off the game for Ohtani.

Seby doesn’t even know what pitch is being called.

Haha, Velasquez is slated to go 3 innings...maybe take that nap until the 4th.

I think Leury will get plenty of ABs, but I’d def take this bet.

Leury is going to be thr every day RF and start 140 games if he's healthy I'd hate to admit it but that's where I think it goes.

So many holes left unfilled

Hard to imagine a more unproductive offseason.  Don’t think I’ve ever seen a pitcher and catcher start a game and not know the signs.

Velasquez is hard to watch. Slow to the plate, bad control.  Hope he either improves or pitches very rarely.

He’s going to be pitching a ton the first month
