How Concerned Should We Be?

This is in another thread, but also relevant.

This is basically a shotgun blast. There’s almost zero correlation here? If anything, eyeballing it you might say the relationship is inverse based on this plot, lots of barrels equals low BABIP, but that’s a stretch too. This argues that lots of barrels does not relate to extra hits.

My #1 concern coming into this season was TLR, and that hasn't changed.

This is a team that has played absolutely terrible baseball for 10 games, but it is also one that has played .500 baseball over their last 90 games.  And it isn't just that they were 1-10, it is how t

Honestly for Robert I think Javy Baez might be the best comp for him.  I don't see him ever walking enough to be Mike Cameron.  Eloy and Robert are basically the same guy at the plate, excep

I was thinking about that Cardinals DH all during the 2 games. I was waiting to see if anyone brought it up !

Has anyone brought up the double header nightmare vs. the cardinals in 2020 before they won a bunch of games?

Leury batting 3rd again…I think it’s time to send Tony to the home

Its not the fact that we lost a DH yesterday its the poor judgement of Tony, and how to stop it

Another one for this thread, White Sox now leading the league in errors.

As Jose Abreu goes, this team goes.

And that's not a good thing right now.

Maybe we should have paid a little bit more attention to his ST comments about his future.  He's performing like someone that has either mailed it in or the age has caught up to him.

He's a notoriously slow starter.  He'll be fine.

I’m really not too worried yet. We still play in a weak division and are currently .500, and if everyone can get healthy, we will go on a tear at some point. The last four days have sucked but I would much rather all this happen now than have it happen in September.

Last to first in 26 hours.

I'm giving this team until Memorial Day to get their heads out of their collective asses otherwise the Fire Hahn/KW threads will start.

They weren’t anywhere close to last. There are teams without any errors this year. They were in the worst 1/3, give or take, 2 days ago.

The tweet this morning said they had zero errors before yesterday.

Idk, but right now it feels like they're about to have the season the Padres had last year.

Good thing TLR sat Anderson, Abreu, and Jimenez in G2 yesterday. It really helped them rest up and crush the ball today

18 games over .500 in mid August?  The White Sox would be running away with the division.

That was a total collapse. This is more of a malaise/apathy/hubris/self-induced one.

Then you should tell ESPN because either they miscounted or the white Sox actually were charged with 12 errors yesterday.

Royals made their first error today...then it was later changed to a hit.

Twins' announcers were poking fun how a ball that Benintendi clearly dropped in foul territory the day before was a non-error as well.

Home score keepers.

We knew the Sox would stink on defense. Not a good thing with a modern day pitching staff in which a rare LONG start will be 5 2/3 innings.

The Indians/Twins/Tigers...pick two of three...will both go for 105+ wins?

No, but it doesn't matter.

Everything could be fine and dandy in 4 weeks, but the vibe given off is one of a team about to massively disappoint. There's an aura of complacency and indifference. They think they're just going to coast to the playoffs.
