  • We lose cause Yoan couldn't field a routine grounder. They win cause Ramirez made a diving play to save the game. They straight up look better than us.

Worst manager in baseball and it's not even remotely close.

  • Maybe it’s why you don’t keep around the same shitty Front Office that caused you to have to rebuild.

A fastball away isn't exactly a great first pitch to go after, if isn't fastball right where you are looking for it there is no reason to swing 1st pitch

Robert going after first pitch slider on outside corner is more annoying

Happy with a Sox error? Troll level 6

Actually it was a hit but I'm just referencing earlier where everyone was touting Moncada's fielding as elite and he boots one already.   Luckily my boy Kopech took care of the damage

The bottom of this lineup makes Leury Garcia seem like Frank Thomas

The bottom five are hitting .171, .214, ..170, ..146 and.191.  Four out of five are below the Mendoza line.  It’s brutal.

I wonder if we can get a breakdown on the BABIP by the Sox on first pitch vs 3+ pitches

One more inning

Robert and Anderson can't bat 1-2 again if they are both going to swing at every 1st pitch.   Leaving Robert at 4 or 5 seems best

Velocity down for Kopech

Velocity down for Kopech

Yeah was just going to post that.

Remember he only started one ST game so this is still basically ST for him in a normal year. He's still that good.

Lots of hangers, good results

Normally I'd be concerned, but I think his command (and secondary pitches) will get better as the year goes on

fortunately he's getting a bit of good fortune in the meantime

This whole team has seemed to adopt Anderson's batting approach, they need to get back to swining at the pitches they want and not everything

I love Grandal hitting 3rd when he’s hitting. Obviously not right now but when he starts hitting again.

Correct. And one poster here enjoyed seeing it. That's basically what a troll does.

Typical Kopech start

Innings 1-2: poor control, pitches around it usually but ends up with 40-50 pitches early

Innings 3-4: settles in, looks great, makes you think he can go deep in the game.

Innings 5-6: he's at too many pitches, velocity drops, and he gets taken out.

That's a strike

Made some awesome pitches to Miller

wow reached back for 97, you love to see it.

We have a whole thread on Rodon and how butt hurt everyone is that were smarter than the front office.

Can we get a thread on Kopech and how we have one of the top pitchers in baseball yet?

Kopech pissed he had to throw an extra pitch. Love it!

Reese has to frame that one better.

Kopech saved a little something in the tank to finish this inning, eh?

couple 97s and even 98 this late in the game is straight fire

Kopech is disgusting.

98 mph holy shit if he gets some extra juice.....my god.
