But he looks cool.

Had a scout tell me he’s one of the biggest wastes of god-given ability he’s ever seen

That's just it.  I see an entire team under-performing, and giving some of the worst defensive production I have ever seen from a team with World Series aspirations, under a manager who was supposed t

He doesn't because of that contract.

you guys are beyond irrational about him

Greinke strikes out like 2 people per 9. Yet we've struck out thrice today already.

The Sox refuse to get in a hitters count.  They wont do it.

Topping out at 90 on a hot gun lol.  Shades of Maddux end of career.

We spend the entire season lamenting that no one on the Sox works counts or draws walks, then don't appreciate the guy with a .380 OBP last year. He's been back for like a week at this point. give him some time to settle in.

It would’ve been ball 4 already. Stop swinging at crap.

You talking about Moncada?

You think a team though wants to pay him like a superstar in a few years?  Honest question, not sarcasm.

He's not doing that this season, just like the rest of the team.

Swinging at junk is our biggest strength.

That was like a 7 pitch at-bat and ZERO were actually strikes.

Haha this is Soxtalk.  Every AB is the end of the world

Robert looks overmatched tonight

According to fWAR he's worth $24-25 million per season.

Unlikely to be from the Sox.

I think teams value players much closer to what fWAR would indicate than whatever the scout you talked with who thinks the ~4+ WAR player is wasting his ability

he was 2nd in fWAR over a 3 year stretch amongst all 3rd basemen in baseball. I don't think he's *that* player, but I do think teams would value him highly.

Robert is a beast.

Greinke gonna have a season high in Ks today cause we simply can't stop swinging at junk out of the zone.

not one pitch against robert or moncada was a true strike and they flailed at them all. yikes.

The guy is literally ~30 ABs into the season.

Not good when Sox have to try so hard just to score one run.

I’d rather watch paint dry than watch this team.

Of course Robert swings at two pitches not remotely close to the zone

I think we forget Robert hasn't even played in 162 games yet in his career, Basically, he hasn't played one full year of MLB yet.

First time in his career facing Greinke.  Almost throws too slow.

Looking to lower team BA against any pitch not a FB to .180.
