bmags Posted June 6, 2022 Share Posted June 6, 2022 Good start for 19 y.o. Gabriel Rodriguez (year 2 in DSL), who struck out 3 so far. No Erick Hernandez today. We do have Guillermo Rodriguez leading off. From Badler: Quote Guillermo Rodriguez, SS, Venezuela: Rodriguez has a strong, compact build (5-foot-10, 175 pounds) and stands out for his defensive ability at shortstop. An above-average runner, Rodriguez is an instinctive defender who breaks well off the bat, moving well laterally and coming in on the ball with an above-average arm. He has a short swing and gap power from the right side. And sure enough he made 1st on an error, stole 2nd, then got thrown out at 3rd. Wish more of our DSL players would just wreak havoc like this. Burrowes was 2-4 with a 2B, 3 RBI and a SB, most importantly no Ks Guil Rodriguez finished 2-4 with that SB. Another 0-4 4K night, and it’s like that like every game. Not trying to be mean but it’s kinda hard to believe, it’s like what would happen if you stuck a 14 year old in a game.
