Anyone tell Joe that there are 3 outs in the half inning, and not 2? Not sure how you can get 2 like that, then look completely different.

  • Typing and throwing a baseball are different levels of strenuous activity, yes.

  • Lol for fucks sake we need a new hitting coach in the worst way. Everyone’s approach is god awful.

Kelly not getting job done

Big time.  Wish we had signed Joc Pederson.  All Joc would have needed to do is to drive across town.  Robert’s hitting has also been pretty bad lately.

This team is going nowhere with 1 1/2 reliable relievers in Graveman and Lopez.

Kelly is maddening.

Nobody up in the pen?

Gallo is much better defensively than Pollock and like 6 years younger. I'd love to buy low on Gallo because he would check off several different boxes for what this team needs, but I can't see the Yankees going for it unless the Sox add a 2nd piece that's pretty good.

Gallo is such a bad hitter his defense can't even get him into positive WAR territory. I wanted him a couple years ago but not now. Gallo is a free agent next year. I wouldn't give up anything for him.

All they had to do was not double down on Kimbrel and sign Pedersen. Joc and Engel would have been a fine RF platoon.

Foster finally got up

Foster?  Don't say Graveman is unavailable today?

One hour ago was thinking we could get back in the race to now wondering if we could blow this one and recover...

Sigh.

Signing an injured Joe Kelly will never, ever make sense to me

Kelly is totally gonna blow this lead...

Wow.  Could have had a little urgency there dude.

Yep and he literally just started throwing. Don’t know about Graveman,

La Russa’s two big moves as head baseball guy not looking so hot halfway through the season.

I was hoping we could save Graveman for this one, wishful thinking I guess.

It depends if you think Gallo is actually a bad hitter or just in a really bad slump for whatever reason. Projection systems view Gallo & Pollock similarly as hitters, but I would rather bet on Gallo because most 28 year olds with a track record of good production don't usually fall of a cliff. My guess is that if the Sox acquired him, he would hit well, but who knows.

The bullpen tomorrow if the Sox are ahead is going to be, uhm... quite interesting. Maybe ReyLo for a 3 inning save or something.

There's your seven runs.

If they were going to sign another reliever, bringing back Tepera made more sense.

Rick Hahn coming out of the lockout: “We need to add pitching depth”.

Goes out and signs a lottery ticket in VV (despite no off-season to work on things) and adds an expensive reliever in Kelly who was going to miss at least four weeks.

Absolutely mind boggling execution plan there.

Stone laying into Sox illogical defensive strategy.

Haha.
