Why is Sheets ever allowed to bat against a lefty?

The same reason Leury is a defacto starter.  Grandpa Drinky likes him his throwback players.

  • People need to start accepting this team just isn’t good. They’ve given us no reason all year to think it’s a playoff team.   The rebuild is in peril.

  • Reinsdorf needs to sell. He doesn’t give a shit about anything besides trying to win on his own terms.  Him and Tony just need to leave this franchise and go b**** about the status of the game elsewhe

I'm at the lowest point of my fandom as an adult. That's all. A very solipsistic view but one I'm sure is shared by quite a few people around 30-50.

There's been a golden opportunity to pinch hit Burger every game since Moncada came back and yet he continues wasting away on the bench

Of course he got rolled over again lol

TA has been awful with RISP and been a major rally killer the last few weeks.

He’s been awful his entire career with RISP

It’s TLR ball.  Pinch hitting is not in his playbook.

We all know it's over, but Tony throwing in the towel down 4 in the biggest game of the year is quite something.  Perks of having a Hall of Famer in the dugout etc

There aren't enough likes for this post.

They like to waste away players and keep them happy on the bench. That’s why you see them joking around in the dugout all the time. It’s the La Russa and Menechino culture.

Holy shit that was a bad inning at the plate

I'm sure there's more dirt out there on Tony. Hopefully someone leaks something to Passan just to make this season uncomfortable for him if we all have to suffer through with him as a manager in a lost year.

At the end of the day, in the peak year of the rebuild, the Sox have zero star position players and zero ace SP. They have had some players that have had good seasons, but given that, idk how it can be called anything but a complete failure.

Before you argue for Cease, when was the last time he shut a team down for 7+ innings?

They suckered me in after that Giants series

Shame on me.

Hey I got a stick let me waive at everything.

TLR has not shown any sense of urgency or drive to win the whole season. He does not utilize all his available resources efficiently.  His over resting philosophy and aversion to pinch hitting has hurt us this season.

TA is a star and Cease is an ACE.

How long will this go on......this is really going to last all season isn't it and they will blame injuries.

It's fun to watch Josh Harrison play defense.

Disagree. When was the last time Cease went 7+ innings in a game? When was the last time Anderson hit over .300 with 20+ HR? Both are good players but neither is a star/ace.

Gonna watch American Beauty instead of this. Enjoy your night!

At least we know when everyone returns from injuries, that means there won’t be any additional injuries the rest of the year.

How many times does any pitcher go 8 innings in a game anywhere?

You gonna quit moving the goal posts here?
