Maybe the Dodgers think they can fix Pollock and will take him off the Sox hands

Just announced, Pilkington a late scratch. S. Bieber to start Game 2 as well.

  • I beg to differ. We do know. But if we say it too often, that will mean we are not good White Sox fans.

Could use some bullpen help - maybe Kimbrel would benefit from a change of scenery?

Sox really like to swing out of the zone, don’t they?  Maybe make Thome hitting coach? Pass on some of that good Charlie Manuel knowledge?  Seriously, anyone but Menechino.

Pilkington is absolutely junkballing this lineup now

Good thing they got him early.

Now that's a trade that makes sense. Why hasn't it already happened? ?

Anybody think Eloy has considered that if his front foot wasn’t damn near touching 3rd base he wouldn’t have to reach for every pitch?

He likes to reach for pitches. He's not any good at pulling his hand in unless he gets a juicy floater inside.

The organizational wide approach of being middle away as hitters isn't conducive to hitting for power. Particularly without a juiced ball & a humidor in every park

Yeah, either the MonStars snuck into the Sox locker room and stole their talent, the entire team is coincidently all in a power slump at once, OR there is a common denominator. E.g: the coaching staff

Yep, it’s time for a change. He’s been bad for far too long

Both him and Robert do similar things with that front foot, they need to fix their swing

Eloy's always done that.

And Eloy has always had issues reaching that slider on the outside half of the plate

He benefitted big time from the juiced ball.  He’s always struggled to hit the ball out to left field.

Their ace was staked to an early lead in game 1, and shuts the door with a CG 95 pitch outing.  Our ace is staked to an early lead and is also shutting the door, but he will be lucky to get through 6 innings!  Let’s hope the bullpen doesn’t blow it.

Just watching his homers in 2020, a lot of those are warning track fly outs now with how the ball is. Eloy has massive pop but he also hit a lot of wall scrappers to the opposite field.

Always ?

Yes? His stance in every at bat here is wide open.

This game still within reach of the Cleveland Comeback Cardiac Kids.

You watched all of that pretty quick. I have no idea what you are seeing. Your video is 2020 mine is 2019.

Entering TLR not leave his starter in too long challenge territory

Scanned through it. How is his stance not open in the video you posted?

All of this is true, and yet I have very little doubt that if Eloy were in an organization with better hitting coaching + development he would be able to start pulling the ball more and raise his launch angle by a few degrees.

It feels like the Sox are the team that benefitted the most from the juiced ball.

The Sox are 1st in opposite field % over the last 3 years. Opposite field fly balls benefited most from the juiced ball. That would certainly make sense to me.

I’d love to see what the Jays development staff would do with Eloy, Robert, & Moncada.

cease is the only guy (cueto too, maybe) that has actually earned the chance to do this
