  • They beat the Tigers.  A neutral event.

  • Take 3 out of 4 from Houston and the bandwagon will be back and rolling.

  • Cueto said they needed more fire. The manager said they didn't. Vaughn said they needed more fire Seems like a lot of these guys (unsurprisingly) think La Russa is a dipshit

Ain't that the truth!!!

Things look a little better for the White Sox after the sweep of the Tigers. The team seems to be gaining some momentum and hopefully it continues with this series against the Astros. Chicago needs to do no worse then split these 4 games and then take 2 of 3 against Cleveland. After that, with a schedule not all that tough, maybe the White Sox can really kick it into high gear. I'm not throwing in the towel just yet but the realiity of this season does have me keeping it close by.

Go to Seattle on September 4th 72-63, while giving the Twins and Guardians two losses each between now and then. That means 13-7 the next 20.

Sounds like a doable plan but this is the White Sox we are talking about, lol!!!

Houston ain't teasing. They just stopped by to take out the trash. What a thing to say.

Do you feel the pull off momentum?

It's the Shop Vac of Hell®

If this is just a big tease then they are doing a good job of it!

Maybe these players just needed a bit of pressure and a rapidly approaching season end to finally concentrate minds, and all this without TA.

Are you talking about McGuire there?

Even El Rockin capitulated for one game recently…against KC probably.

they're getting closer to dragging me back into this mess 3hrs a night ...  mentally i dont know if i can take it.

5 games upcoming against the astros and cleveland? If they go 3-2, taking 2/3 from Guardians ... I'll reluctantly begin caring again. We'd be a half game back. (assuming indians clean up against daniel norris today)

On a completely unrelated note, Tony just bought a new car and remodeled his kitchen.

If the Sox are going to be successful, they will do things like they did against the Astros in the first two games. They'll have to continue to get good pitching and win low-scoring games. The offense will need to get some clutch hits and add some doubles because it doesn't look like home runs are on the way. They will need to cut back on base-running mistakes.  On defense, they have to make the routine plays. We will see if they can do all of this.

What color is the car?

This division sucks.  And the Guardians are overachieving.  One strong week for the Sox wins them the division.   They have been pretty solid since the start of July and have managed to really avoid any prolonged losing streaks.  They just need one prolonged winning streak.

I can't shake the feeling that they're gonna return to the uninspiring .500 team by the time they're in Cleveland, but that's all the raining I'll do on this parade. The past two nights have been -- what's the word -- exciting?

Doth not cease forthwith, lads.

Eloy definitely would have hurt himself on that catch

I didn't get the football pulled back. I  not disappointed like many fans right now.

Hint, it want momentum…

The downward momentum is building up.
